Re-Imaging the North-West
Participants will be invited to take to the streets of Manchester and Salford to re-imagine the perception of the city through the art of photography.
Participants will be given basic training on photography and will then make their way to the city streets to capture images of famous landmarks, sites of personal memories, and re-interpret famous photographs of the area, such as the famous photograph of The Smiths outside Salford Lads Club.
The workshop aims to explore the idea that each participant has a ‘personal geography’ and the group will create a map from a more personal, local perspective that will serve as visual marker of collective personal experiences in the area. Click here to register

Performing in Public
This workshop looks at how to present ourselves positively to others. Participants will be encouraged to develop an a wareness of their physical behaviour and how others perceive us.
Exercises will explore:
- Does ‘performing’ mean we are being ‘fake’?
- In what instances might we ‘perform’ in front of other people?
- When we are ‘performing’, what are we trying to communicate?
- What does our body language say about us?
Useful for everyday situations where we might be under pressure such as facing confrontation or job interviews, or instances where we might have to perform in front of groups of people such as public speaking and presenting. Click here to register
