The Film
The Video below is a snippet from the full documentary “Morning in the streets” made by Denis Mitchell in 1959.
This film was made about working class life in the North west. Whilst this film met with a warm critical reception it represented an old way of film in which outsiders came and imposed their own vision on a region. The New Mornings Old Streets Project will update this approach by inviting the community to use an exciting range of new technologies to reflect their own experiences and create a film they can be proud of.

After watching the film, i realised that this is an amazing project proposed for re-working and bringing up to date. Can’t wait to see the final outcome of the intended Project. Hope it all goes well.
